Press Releases: 2. Stirling University Success

UNIVERSITY TEAM CELBRATING ‘AWESOME’ EUROPEAN SUCCESS

The University of Stirling’s golf team are celebrating after a dazzling performance at the 3rd annual European Universities Golf Championships in Saint-Saens, Rouen, France.

The Men’s and Women’s teams, supported this season by Scotland’s most spectacular golf clothing brand Royal & Awesome, finished first and second in their respective competitions, while Alex Culverwell, Cormac Sharvin, Mathias Eggenberger and Eilidh Briggs all finished within the top 3 of the individual competitions.

The University of Stirling team, coached by former European tour professional Dean Robertson, were competing against the top student golfers from all around Europe, with 86 golfers representing 13 universities from 7 countries.

Royal & Awesome brand director Graeme Smeaton said: “We are thrilled for the Stirling team and for all that that they have achieved this season, culminating in this prestigious . We were confident that they could turn heads with their golf game – as well as their ‘Well Plaid Tartan’ trews”.

“To be able to support the University of Stirling team for this prestigious event and we hope we can help spur them on to glory. We are sure they will have great fun wearing our clothing throughout the season and we look forward to following their progress.”

Royal & Awesome’s range of eye-catching golf trousers, shorts and hats are ‘perfect for the pars and the bars’. The brand has recently launched plus-twos as well as women’s pants, shorts and skorts in their dazzling designs, complemented by a range of men’s and women’s shirts, socks and belts.

The ‘Awesomes’ – the brand’s range of brightly designed golf trousers – build on the wonderful heritage and history of golf in Scotland by adding a whole lot of fun and colour, and are guaranteed to make an impact on the course, the clubhouse or the corporate jolly. All of their ‘bottoms’ come with a free golf tool/bottle opener, which is a nod to their strap line of ‘for the pars and the bars’.
